Flourishing, the first photographic composition which also gives the title to the whole series, is about two separate but codependent times in my healing journey. The subject on the lower side represents introspection: exploring the past in search for answers, learning how to spend time with my thoughts while also unlearning specific behavioural patterns embedded in my own upbringing. The subject at the top represents my higher self, released from ego and from the necessity to keep asking questions.

Healing is not a linear process. Therefore, the two phases are supposed to merge and coexist.
